Herb’s Customers & Employees Told Us A Lot
We listened to customers and employees of Herb’s Paint & Body by literally sitting in their lobby and in the garages. We heard a lot of customers talking talking about their experiences and their perceptions of
Herb’s work and service. This was the basis for the development of their ad campaign.
Local television, radio and print advertising featuring actual customers and employees has helped Herb’s dial-up awareness resulting in a 9% increase in sales over the prior year.

Dougherty's Pharmacy Gets Marching
Dougherty's Pharmacy is the oldest, largest
compounding pharmacy in North Texas. So we wanted to create brand awareness for this 80 year old, unique, customer-focused
establishment located in the Preston Royal Village shopping center. Since Dougherty’s Pharmacy sponsors the WRR Classical
101.1’s March of the Day programming, new radio seemed like a fun way to promote all the lines of business for the pharmacy in
manner relevant to WRR listeners. We’ve had a lot of fun with the marching band idea as part of Dougherty’s new advertising and
branding efforts.
In fact, the "Dougherty's Audition"
radio spot was selected for a Platinum 2008 MarCom Creative Award by the Association of Marketing and Communication
Professionals. The audition recording won in the Radio/Single Spot category for commercial featuring patrons of Dougherty’s
Pharmacy “auditioning” to join their marching band. Give it a listen and you’ll know why folks are coming to Dougherty’s asking
how they can audition or when the marching band will be visiting.

Dougherty's Turns 80 and Hits the Road
Since Dougherty’s Pharmacy is celebrating its 80th birthday this year, we were
asked to create something special to commemorate the occasion and thank their loyal customers. B&B created an 80th Anniversary logo in a style that
captured the nostalgic brand image of Dougherty’s neon sign, and then we took that imagery on the road with new transit ads on DART buses. We think
Dougherty’s has a lot in common with our Dallas area traffic, so we decided to have some fun with the occasion.

Students Tell Their Stories about Perkins
We haven’t met a student who didn’t want to enroll in graduate studies
at Perkins School of Theology after touring the school and meeting with faculty and students. Every few months Perkins hosts a tour called Inside Perkins
that allows students to get a sample of courses and life on campus of Southern Methodist University. So when Perkins asked B&B to help redesign
the schools website, we wanted to find a way to give prospective students a virtual slice of the Perkins experience.
We designed an experiential portal with a dramatic visual narrative inviting the viewer to
embark on a journey of faith. The site offers a rich array of streaming video testimonials from students, faculty, and administrators offering their own
experience of the faith journey within the Perkins setting. Journey to the Perkins website and check it out: www.smu.edu/perkins
B&B Joins The Junior Leagues
The Association of Junior Leagues International that is.
Beaird & Boone Marketing was featured in the New York Times for a new ad campaign developed for use of all Junior Leagues worldwide. The campaign was created to
increase the awareness about what the Junior League is doing in communities and to dispel the leagues, elitist image while attracting new members and sponsors.
Although the Junior League is a non-profit organization founded in 1901, the campaign brings focus to several modern causes that local league programs support including
literacy, children’s and women’s health, and domestic violence. The campaign also offers local leagues the opportunity to customize response information for their communities.
